Weekends over, trip home down the mountain

Outside the window after Deadman's Bluff approaching Mammoth Lakes loop.

Mountain Range near the airport.

Volcano in the front, with newly fallen snow on the mountains in the back.

Always watching.

Lookout tower at Manzanar.

Rock formations before you head down the hill from AV into LA.

Always a geological education when you drive through California. Wish you were here Viviane.

Dinner with the Cousins

Plenty of tri-tip for everyone.

Super fun and super cut. They like to beat up uncle Ryan.

On the Mountain

Joe, Lynda, and Parker outside the Chalet on June Mountain.

Parking lot.

I did not ski so I took the chairlift back down. Brisk but not cold.

No fear in this kid, he fell asleep on the chairlift.

June Lake Cabin, Saturday Morning

A few inches fell while we slept.

Breakfast with the little ones. K8t and Millers, Lynda and Spiderman.

Mr. Plow saves the day.

We drove up in this car. Thats a good few feet above the staircase in the background.

Off to the slops for some actions photos...

Sledding in the Neighborhood

The O'Malleys walked over to say hello and got us all motivated to get out there and hit the hills.

Parker did not like getting dressed but he loves the outdoors.
(Think Christmas Story getting dressed for school)

Mom Mandy with Erin and Dad Tim with Kate holding the massive snowball.

The O'Malleys in action at near full speed.

Spiderman in the front seat with dad Joe.

Trip to June Lake / drive up

Kelly drove and Nick was in the back seat. We left mid-day and there was no traffic. The fuzz was out but he was alwasys going the other way. But there is not questions tax dollars were being collected.

Lava rock in front of a deep red colored volcano peaking out from behind the hill.

Joshua tree. I would guess a few hundred years old.

Old minerals mill. Behind is the dried out river bed with all the deposits.

Biggest plane I have ever seen at Mammoth Airport. Pre-take off taxi.

More to come.

Craziest Weekend Ever

So what happened:

-Valentine’s Day
For me, it was a long distance thing. My package did not show up on time so I suck. I did tell her I love her and she sent me a cool e-card. But I miss her. I need her in my arms.

-Chinese New Years
Went to Souplantation with DJZ, K8T and Millers. Everyone else there was a Chinese family sharing their holiday with a family meal. (That is what you do, it is time you spend with family.) It was cool. Camille was in rare form; let’s just say she knows how to sign the word MORE really well.

-Daytona 500
Missed it. There was a woman (smokin’ hot) in the race. It seems there was also a massive delay as the track was FUBAR with a sofa size hole in it. It got fixed. Don’t even know who won the ‘Great American Race’ but that is OK, because that race actually take place in Indianapolis over Memorial Day weekend.

-Pebble Beach Pro- Am
The course will host the US Open in 4 months but even before they make it tough as shit it still was eating up golfers. Two pros shot a “Nine” on the 14th. Craziness. It was a train wreck. One of them was in the lead before that, he was shook up for the rest of the round after that. Some kid won the event in head to toe Adidas.

-NBA All Star Game
Missed it. Learned about it tonight with lame highlights after the ice skating. It was in Cowboy Stadium. 108 thousand showed up. That is equal to a Penn State home game. Nice. But of course in Happy Valley, no one sits on the field. No Kobe, no AI. Don’t know who won. Don’t care.

-Winter Olympics
Vancouver. Good stuff. We are on top of the medal count at this point. The Canucks got their home gold which is good. Are ladies are attractive. Highlights for me so far was the short track 1500M final where we were 2/3, the 18-0 A$$ kicking by the Lady Canadian Hockey Team, and are boy Jonny breaking the USA Nordic drought of over 80 years.

-Mavericks
I can’t surf but I know people who do and none of them hit the waves when they crest over 40 feet, let alone over 50. This event happens when conditions present themselves and they did. Mother Nature is playing games this week with 6 feet of snow in DC and not in BC. But she showed her dark side buy taking out the spectators on the Maverick’s rock peninsula with a ‘rouge wave.’ It was not funny, there were multiple broken bones.

-Carnival
Brazil is alive. Streets are full of people and music is at full blast. The tourists are in town and they have money in their pocket but they left their brains at home. Anyway, that's how it goes. Just because all the women are beautiful, does not me you have permission to be a jack ass. I don’t know about the South, but in the North East, it is about live music, street parties, and Caipirinhas. Don’t touch her chest you pig, just give her a kiss.

“Oh well. We missed a lot.”

And I forgot, it is President's Day today on Monday.

Don't forget Fat Tuesday after that... oh baby.

And then of course Lent begins with Ash Wednesday...

Somebody stop me.

10 February 2010

I don't do this at home...

...let alone at work.

This is just a movie poster. This is an inaccurate portrayal.

Unfortunetly, these are not actors. This is real.

Would you work for someone who sat at his desk like this when you spoke to him? Or him to you?
Forget about whether you voted for him or not.
That desk is special, let alone the office, or the job.
